ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY
GLASGOW AND BRISTOL
We are now seeking Stress Engineers to join the aero-structures team of this highly respected and world-renowned provider of specialist consultancy services based in Bristol and Glasgow. This division of the company provides high end technical and project management services to the prime aerospace companies. They are involved in some of the most challenging and exciting aerospace projects in the world.
These roles are ideally suited to high calibre engineering graduates with any level of appropriate experience and will give you the opportunity to use your technical skills to provide high quality input to their aerospace projects, spanning both aero-structures and aero-engines.
To succeed as Stress Engineer you will require a good engineering degree that includes structural analysis (such as aeronautical, mechanical, automotive, civil) with some experience in a professional engineering environment relevant to (but not limited to) the aerospace sector. You will also need to demonstrate experience in at least one or more of the following areas: Structural/stress analysis; Composite stress analysis (any industry); Linear and non-linear finite element analysis; Fatigue and damage tolerance; Structural dynamics; Thermal analysis; Aero-structures experience.
You will also be expected to demonstrate a strong desire to progress quickly to a position of leadership. You should have a professional approach; strong communication skills, written and verbal and commercial awareness. You will be a team player and be comfortable working in international teams, capable of self-
managing.
Our client develops individuals through a portfolio of training and development courses designed to help you make the best of your abilities and talents. These are reviewed with individuals through an annual appraisal process. They actively support staff in achieving corporate membership of relevant institutions. Some work outside normal office hours may be necessary. Travel to and from client sites and/or temporary secondment to clients offices may also be required.
All candidates must be in a position to obtain UK security clearance to BC level. Additional restrictions may apply to certain projects.
