Job Description
As a Project Manager – Enabling & Earthworks, you will join the Civil Works Programme (CWP) for a major nuclear project, with a total scope valued at approximately £9 billion.
The Civil Works Programme is divided into three key sub-programmes:
Enabling & Earthworks
Main Civils & Ancillary Works
Marine & Tunnelling
This role acts as both Project Manager and Interface Engineer, and this Integration function within the Civil Works Programme is the focal point in supporting the co-ordination of the activities in each of the three sub-programmes, along with Site Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a key link within the Interface Management Plan, coordinating interfaces and ensuring alignment between CWP teams and the Project Management Office.
Produce clear, standardised reports for senior stakeholders, highlighting performance, risks, and key interface issues.
Promote a collaborative approach across teams to ensure interfaces are understood, managed, and effectively resolved.
Support Project Managers in developing interface agreements that deliver best-for-project outcomes while maintaining the highest health & safety standards.
Implement and maintain interface management processes across the project lifecycle.
Capture and manage interface agreements, ensuring clear ownership and accountability.
Monitor interface progress, ensuring alignment with project schedules and initiating change requests when required.
Track, manage, and close interface issues efficiently.
Develop and manage Interface Milestone Definition Sheets (IMDS), ensuring clear success criteria, scope, dependencies, and impacts are defined for key milestones.
